We help our patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and avoid invasive surgery.
Many of our patients come to us after years of frustrating and ineffective treatments, across multiple providers, which, at best, haven’t helped and, at worst, have intensified their back problems.
Exercise physiologist Jo Venter’s unique, evidence-based approach and highly thorough, personalised assessments and treatment plans have been instrumental in transforming lives for countless clients. Currently working out of Kalamunda, Jo also offers a mobile service when travel is not possible.
We assist patients with a range of injures, employing both rehabilitative and preventative practices and programs to promote fit, healthy spines. Whether they come to us as an individual private patient, or through a Workers Compensation or other scheme, we assist with a range of back injuries and seek to deliver outcomes that reduce pain and suffering.
Fit Spines has also had extensive experience in delivering preventative and rehabilitation programs within workplaces. Jo has significant experience working in the mining sector, delivering programs and education that reduce employee injuries and increase productivity.

"After a lifetime of competitive cycling I was forced to retire in 2015 due to a bad back. Since then I have had to manage daily back pain whilst trying to stay fit and active.
At the end of my tether I sought help from two neurosurgeons. One told me he didn’t want to help yet and offered no other advice, the other booked me in for an L5-S1 spinal fusion.
Luckily a friend put me onto Jo Venter and after a couple of months I am now pain free and have started some eMTB riding and am soon to get back into the gym. Life changing is an understatement."
